There are specific consequences if a bluffer is caught and these are explained below. However, the caller must deal with the consequences if a bluff is called but not proved. Setup and Deal:
Three to six players are ideal for this game. All you need for this is a standard deck of 52 playing cards without the Joker. However, two to ten players can also play the game. If there are more than six players, two 52-card decks should be used for the game. As a result, the game will become more competitive.
After everyone has gathered around a flat surface, preferably a table, select a dealer to distribute the full deck of cards equally among all players. Note that the cards have to be dealt face down. General BS Card Game Rules (Bullshit Card Game Rules):
If you are interested in playing this game and aim to reduce your losses, one thing you must understand is that once the cards are distributed, anybody can win. Your goal should be to minimize risk while shedding maximum cards as possible to keep everyone guessing. However, you must understand the rules of the BS card game, before you can master this. The following are the rules that have been mentioned:
1. After the cards have been distributed, the player on the dealer’s left starts the game.
2. Shedding cannot occur in a random order. In the Bs card game, it is usual to discard cards in ascending order. In other words, the first player needs to shed aces(count as 1), followed by 2s for the second player, 3s for the third, and so on.
3. Correct order of play is A, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, J, Q, K.
4. Players can put down as many cards as they want, but they must follow the sequence mentioned above. For example, Player 3, is unable to place down one 7, three Kings, etc.
5. Instead, they should record four 2s, one 2, or any number of 2s. As a result, the game gets more challenging.
6. Players can lie because the game is called Bluff or “BS.” You may lie about the cards that you are putting down. For example: If you are the fourth player, you should play 4s in the first round, 8s in the second, and so on. However, the player has the choice of lying about the face value or type of cards they are shedding.
7. i.e. during the first turn, player four can put down one correct card (four numbered cards), one wrong card (any card other than four), multiple incorrect cards (more than one card but neither numbered four), all correct cards (one or more numbered four), or a combination of the correct and the wrong cards (one correct card, some correct cards, or no correct cards).
8. It is possible for players to lie information regarding the face value or the type of cards they are shedding. However, they cannot misrepresent the number of cards they put down.
9. According to the official BS card game rules, participants are only allowed to view their own hands.
10. Each player has to put all of their cards face down while declaring and putting them down during their turn. As a result, the discard pile will be created.
11. However, during a player’s turn, any player can call “BS,” “Cheat,” or “Bluff.” If the player after you has already dealt your hand, it is not called a bluff. To keep things simple, assume Player 5 has played their hand after Player 4 has shed their cards. According to the Bullshit card game, you cannot call “BS” for Player 4’s turn.
12. Assume that any of the players call BS on Player 4. At this point, Player 4 may have been telling the truth (declaring and putting down the same cards) or they could have bluffed (declared cards different from those they laid down).
13. If Player 4 is detected bluffing, they have to pick up all of the cards they put down in addition to all of the cards that have gathered in the discard pile (face-down).
14. The player who called the BS is punished if Player 4 wasn’t bluffing. In this case, they have to pick up the cards that Player 4 just played as well as every card that has been added to the discard pile (face-down).
15. The next play begins with the player who caught the “BS” or who had been suspected of “BS-ing” but didn’t.
